Dave needs you! Apologies for the name…

I let Rich name him, as when I turned up to collect one greyhound, there were two waiting for me! Anyway Dave suits him, he’s just a chilled out guy, an absolutely lovely soul, the most easy-going dog you could dream of sharing your life with. He and Delilah were picked up in October 2011 from a car park in the West Midlands, they were being given away on Preloved having done all the racing their previous owners required. Both underweight but especially so Dave, he was also covered in old flea dirt so at some time had been completely infested, the poor thing. He was flea treated to ensure they were all dead, has now been castrated and is ready for his forever home – could that be you?

Dave is incredibly loving with people so we would be happy to re-home him with dog-savvy children over the age of five, and has been just great with every dog he has met so far. When he stayed with us prior to going into foster, we had four other dogs of different sizes and temperament, and Dave had absolutely no issues with any of them.

He shows no aggression whatsoever, in any circumstances; you can remove toys or food and he is completely fine. We don’t have cats, so I’m not sure what he would think of them, but he is so laid back I would be happy to try him, in a very safe environment of course, and with our help. He travels very well in the car and does not require a lot of exercise, 30 minutes – an hour’s walk each day is plenty, as long as he has a garden to mooch around and a comfy bed or preferably a sofa to call his own, he will be a very happy lad.

Although he is currently being fostered as an only dog, we do prefer our sociable dogs to have company, so we would either like Dave and Delilah to be homed together, or for there to be another dog for him to have as company. Dave is 8 years old, with absolutely no health issues although clearly needs feeding up a bit the poor thing, and as mentioned is castrated, been flea treated, has been microchipped, vaccinated and wormed.

A rehoming fee of £90 is requested to cover some (not all) of the costs we have incurred saving this most deserving of dogs. He would love to meet you (assuming you’re a dog loving person :) ), so if you think you can give him the loving forever home, with as many cuddles as he could possibly cope with for evermore as he deserves, then please get in touch today.
